When we first got Ernie we thought his name was really silly for such a gorgeous cat. His foster mom decided to rename him Armand. Oh dear. Ernie just looked at her and meowed, "Have you lost your friggen' mind?" Apparently Ernie suits him just fine.

Ernie has blossomed in his foster home. He was terrified in the shelter and even more so when he first got to Rescue. All of the changes for a sweet gentle cat can be very traumatic. He's still a bit shy of strangers, but as you can see from his new pictures, he's now out and about and showing off. He lets his foster mom pet him and likes to roll over for tummy rubs, too.   We think he'd do well in a house with one or two other very gentle cats, but he'd be even more happy in a household where he was an only cat.
