GINO
5 yo Blue Persian

Gino was adopted from us 3-4 years ago along with two other cats. The wonderful man who adopted him has fallen on hard times and has had to ask that we take all of the cats back and find them homes. This nice boy has handled the move with great aplomb and settled right into his foster
home for some fun and games.

Gino is a hoot. He's a playful boy, and a big loving lump of a cat. He has quite the charming personality and also very affectionate. He gets along with dogs although he's not afraid to put them in their place if they get into his personal space. He gets along with some cats, but will be aggressive with adult males. He would be great as an only cat or with
a confident playful female.

Gino has a really exotic look to him. We know the area he came from, and there's a Persian breeder up there that breeds Blue Persians with "old style" faces. There is also a British Shorthair breeder in that area that was using Persians to develop a long haired British Blue. He could actually be a result of those rare out-crossings. He has an easy care coat that doesn't mat up too badly, and his eyes don't have the drainage sometimes found in the more extreme faced Persians.

OCTOBER UPDATE: Gino's currently staying at the Kitty Hill Resort for Cats. His foster mom Harriet says: Gino is such an entertaining kitty. His antics and enthusiasms just bring out a smile in everyone. He is a sleek, long bodied, silky grey plush toy. He is not fragile like some Persians--perhaps it is his British Shorthair blood. He has an easy care coat.

Gino loves to run, sliding with his furry feet at every corner. He's a good natured, happy companion, curious and absolutely playful. You can pick him up and sling him over your shoulder and pet him everywhere. He eats wet and dry food, and uses his litterbox perfectly. Seems to be entirely healthy and full of fun. He's an easy cat. I haven't seen him with another male cat in his territory but in the Resort he seems fine with all the kitties in their rooms that he runs past. He shows no hostility. He would be best in a home with some space.
