IVAN
2-5 yo Male Red & White Turkish Van
This sweet guy was an owner surrender. After he was left his owners called and called to check on him. He must have been loved. It would be hard not to love this soft little treasure. In the shelter he was so extremely shy he was unadoptable and in jeopardy. Right now he is a little sad, though he will come out to be petted and loved. He will be happier and blossom in his new home someday.
Turkish Vans are normally very active involved little troublemakers. Very agile they are great jumpers and infinitely playful. They will follow you around the house and help you will all your chores. Known as the "swimming cats" they like water and have been known to take showers with their favorite humans. He is a true Van with the classic patches of red on his head and the marvelous red tail. His fur is medium long, very soft and silky.
Ivan is litterbox perfect, eats wet and dry and seems to be in great health except for the wistful expression in his eyes. He is an unusually tender boy and needs very gentle handling. No homes with rough-housing kids or scary animals. He needs (and will give back) love and love and love. He was surrendered with Emma and she sort of strikes out at him occasionally and clearly dominates him. He is being adopted out separately and may be happier when separated from her.
