PERSIAN & HIMALAYAN
We just posted five new Persians to the "25 Persians in
Crisis" page. These are cats that weren't initially being allowed out
of the house. With another large scale crisis involving this breed we
are desperately hoping to get the remaining cats from this situation
placed. Please help us help these cats.

HEIDI: 5-7 yo Tortie Point Himalayan. I am very chatty when I am being petted. I do hide under the bed at my foster mom's because I do not like her other cats or dogs. I am slowly coming out from under the bed more often. I am a great eater and not picky about my food. I am wonderful with the litter box and never have any accidents. GINO: 5 yo Blue Persian. Gino loves to run, sliding with his furry feet at every corner. He's a good natured, happy companion, curious and absolutely playful. You can pick him up and sling him over your shoulder and pet him everywhere. He eats wet and dry food, and uses his litterbox perfectly. Seems to be entirely healthy and full of fun. ANALISE: 5-6 year old Golden Tabby Persian. Analise is just a little angel, she’s too cute for words! She desperately needs a nose job to help her breathe better, she struggles for every breathe she takes but it has not hampered her personality. WAKONDA: 5 yo Shaded Silver Persian. Wakonda has not had much of a social life up until now and she has a few hang-ups. She likes to hang out and play a lot but still isn’t too fond of being touched. WAKEISHA: 3-5 yo Flamepoint Persian. Wakeisha will purr very loudly when she is being petted. She is very playful and loves feather toys and string. She is perfect with the litter box. She is great with other cats and does fine with dogs. I think in the right loving home she will really blossom as she has already come a long way in the short time she has been in rescue. She will probably do best in a quiet home with no small children. More...

SUGAR: Flamepoint Himalayan. Sweet Sugar. What a living doll! She is one of the 75 Himalayans in Crisis. Thankfully her only crisis right now is wondering what time the wet food treats are served this evening and whether the bowl will be crystal, glass, or pretty shiny metal. More...

SHEENA: ~2 yo Copper eyed Tabby Persian. Sheena is an Irish name which means "God is Gracious". Sheena came to us from the 75 Himalayans in Crisis. TEDDY BEAR: ~2 yo Flamepoint Himalayan. Teddy Bear came to us along with many other Himalayans. You can read more about this group of cats on our Home Page. Teddy is still very shy, although with daily socialization he shows signs of becoming a very happy loving people cat. He would benefit greatly from a foster or adoptive home that could give him a small space where he could feel safe, but where he could get lots of one-on-one time, and see the action going on around him. PRINCESS BLUE EYES: 15 month old Cream Point Himalayan. Princess BlueEyes likes human attention, shows signs of wanting to be a lap cat. She is patient with having her beautiful eyes washed and her soft cream colored hair brushed, and being picked up and carried around. She is an easy cat. MAYA: 4 yo Flamepoint Himalayan. Darling Maya is about the cutest thing you ever did see. The breeders that surrender these cats were trying to breed "toy", or miniature Persians so many of them are little tiny things. She has big round eyes that give her a perpetually surprised look. More...

TEA: ~10 yo Tortie Persian. Don't let her age fool you. Tea is an awesome, spunky, young at heart girl. She's in your face friendly, and a super cuddle bug. She is an excellent example of the breed, too. She has about the flattest face you'd ever see, and huge round eyes. SEAN PATRICK: 2-4 yo Flamepoint Himalayan. Sean Patrick loves to be petted and is learning to meet strangers. He has been shaved down due to heavy matting but he will grow into his Himalayan Glory in a few months. It's an ideal time to get him used to combing daily. CHIFFON: 2-4 yo Blue/Cream Persian. Lovely Chiffon is one of the shyest of the females to come from the 96 Himalayans in Crisis situation. She is quite stunning. LINDY: ~2 yo Blue/Cream Point Himalayan. Darling Lindy is one of the 96 Himalayans seized from a home in Northern CA. What a sweet angel even though she's probably had very little handling or socialization in her short life. She was terrified when she first got here, but daily handling is helping get her turned around. We expect her to become an adoring family pet as have the rest of the cats. GYPSY ROSE: ~6-8 y/o Female, Red Persian. Gypsy is one beautiful girl. She has an amazing coat, and she does enjoy having it combed. Her coat color is a very beautiful color of red, actually somewhere between red and crème. Her eyes are stunning as well. SILVER SLIPPER: 4 yo Shaded Silver Persian. Slipper is adorable. She's got beautiful round eyes that seem to be almost as big as her face. She has an angelic personality and seems to get along with any cat or human with whom she comes in contact. Silver Slipper came to us fully shaved and she has a treatable skin condition commonly found in Persians. She is currently in a loving foster home where she can get the appropriate care and is almost all better. More...

SPRINKLES: ~2 yr old Tortie Point Himalayan. Little Sprinkles has such unique coloring on her "points". Until this group of cats, we'd never seen this pattern or color combination on a Himalayan. DEE DEE: ~5-10 yo Male Red Persian. Dee Dee is a friendly boy once he gets to know you. He was a tad aloof when he first came to Rescue, but one day he just decided his foster mom was the neatest thing ever. Now he sits where he can see her come to the door at night after work. As soon as he sees her coming he jumps off of his little table and comes to greet her. He's a little guy and probably won't weigh more than 8 lbs ever in his life. More...

MIRABEL: 4 yo Golden Tabby & White Persian. Mirabel is a young, beautiful, healthy girl with gorgeous gold eyes. She loves human attention even more than she dislikes animal (kitty) attention. She purrs and rubs and arches her back and stands up on her tip toes to demonstrate how cute she is. She gets her point across admirably. More...

HUFF n' PUFF: ~5 yo Black & White Van Persian. Huff n' Puff is one of the more socialized of the 95 Himalayans in Crisis situation. He was completely matted and had to get a Lion Cut so he looks just a tad bit bedraggled right now. He has very beautiful round copper/gold eyes and a little button nose. He has very healthy clear eyes that don't get the drainage that you see in some of the more extreme faced Persians. He will be spectacular. More...

PANSY: ~1 to 3 year old Himalayan Blue Point. This tiny little girl is one of the 95 Persians and Himalayans. The breeder of these cats was working to breed tiny kitties and she must have been pleased with beautiful little Pansy. She is four pounds, but she is still skinny and will probably be five pounds plus when she is gets to her normal happy weight. Her coloring is gorgeous soft brown on her face and tail and feet and stylishly darker chocolate on her ears.She is beige elsewhere. All very delicate and lovely. More...
